Wilmington Property Taxes to Drop Next Year

They recently learned that next year, their homeowners taxes will decrease, thanks to a $44 million increase in nonresidential property values. Unfortunately, many of the towns surrounding Wilmington will see tax increases in 2009. Wilmington will get the decrease, because its center just saw the completion of a new strip mall. Residents of neighboring towns may be upset, but they must realize that this is due to the rapidly fluctuating economy.
