Massachusetts Unemployment Rate Soars

The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development recently reported that the Massachusetts unemployment rate has skyrocketed to its highest level in more than five years. Most people find this unsurprising, as the entire United States economy is in a dramatic recession. The Labor Department reported that the nation, as a whole, lost over 533,00 workers in November.

It seems like no one can be guaranteed job security in these difficult financial times. However, it is important to know that you have rights as an employee. If you have a contract with your employer, it must be honored, or you must be given some compensation. Employment law can be complex and difficult to understand. This is why you should hire an experienced legal professional from the office of Kerstein, Coren & Lichtenstein LLP.
