Massachusetts Divorce Woman Held in Contempt of Court

After an 11-year battle in divorce court, a woman from Clinton, Massachusetts sits in jail for refusing to pay her ex-husband money that she owed him for a settlement. In April, a probate court found her guilty of contempt of court, for failing to heed the court's warnings to pay the money. The woman had filed bankruptcy in the past, and was in debt of up to $1 million from credit cards and back taxes owed to the IRS. Her assets were seized and sold to cover the payments due to the ex-husband.
