Man to be Tried in Massachusetts for Illegal Gun Possession

A traveling musician was recently arrested in the Logan International Airport for having a loaded firearm in his suitcase. Officials noticed the gun in his luggage during the X-ray process and had him arrested. The man admitted that the firearm, a .32 caliber Colt loaded with 8 rounds of ammunition was indeed his, and says that he simply made a horrible mistake.

If the man is convicted, he could face up to two years in prison with a $500 fine. However, his crime is that he was carrying the weapon in Massachusetts without proper registration and license. Officials said that over ten cases of absent-mindedness like this occur each year. If you are charged with the criminal possession of a firearm, do not hesitate to call the criminal law professionals at the office of Kerstein, Coren & Lichtenstein LLP.
