Biography

Attorney Coren is an experienced practitioner in the field of civil litigation and has appeared in most courts in Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University School of Law. He has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years. His fields of expertise are personal injury, divorce and family issues, real estate, probate and business litigation. He also has substantial experience in the area of landlord-tenant law which is important to the Firm’s clients who own and lease residential or commercial property. Attorney Coren also has expertise in the field of probate law involving estates and wills. He has been appointed by judges of the Massachusetts Probate Courts as an administrator of troubled or contested estates. He is licensed to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States District Court of Massachusetts, United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court of Northern California and has appeared in the courts of New Hampshire.

Attorney Coren has been involved in the field of law-related education which fosters programs in schools to teach students about the law and its procedures and to participate in moot court programs. He was a founder and past president of the Massachusetts Association for Law-Related Education, Inc., and was a recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. He helped found the Lawyer/Teacher Partnership Program within the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is a co-author of In Search of Justice: "Legal Education Materials for Secondary and Junior High Schools" published by the Massachusetts Bar Association and used in secondary schools throughout Massachusetts. He has been a presenter at various law-related conferences including American Bar Association Law-Related Education seminars, Massachusetts Bar Association Law-Related Education seminars and conferences, the Massachusetts Bar Association Law-Related Education lawyer-teacher partnership program and the Massachusetts Bar Association Law-Related Education Mock Trial program.
