Boy Shoots Self at Massachusetts Gun Show

A recent gun show was the scene of a fatal accident, where an 8-year old boy was killed by an automatic weapon. The police chief who was running the event is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. He handed the gun to the boy, who was accompanied by his father and brother, and allowed him to shoot at a target. The boy lost control of the extremely powerful weapon and shot himself in the head. Massachusetts law states that children may handle guns, if they are with a licensed firearm instructor, have parental consent and have an active permit for the weapon. Officials are investigating whether or not the police chief was a licensed instructor, but the fact remains that he never should have put such a powerful weapon into the hands of a child.

Accidents do happen, and when they are your fault, you need a good defense attorney. The lawyers at Kerstein, Coren & Lichtenstein LLP have had many years of experience and are ready to help you win your case.
